At the 15th Scientific Days organised by the Regional Centre for Research and Training in HIV Care (CRCF), Khoudia Sow introduced After the Single Use to an audience of Senegalese, French, and international researchers. The presentation, Rethinking medical devices for reuse, renewal and resilience, outlined the project’s aims within the context of global debates on medical waste and sustainable healthcare. Khoudia’s presentation was perceived by workshop participants as a particularly innovative project in the context of Senegal and West Africa.

Held every two years and celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, the Scientific Days bring together researchers funded by the French National Agency for Research on AIDS and Emerging Diseases (ANRS MIE) and partner organisations to share findings and introduce new work. The theme for the 15th Scientific Days was, From HIV control to the challenge of emerging diseases: research for public health.
